This is not the sort of thing that I plan to post very often on this blog, because this isn't a polemical type of blog. But I found this piece so eloquent and powerful that I felt compelled to share it. This may be the best I have ever heard Keith Olbermann.
My thanks to the Swandive and James Ure for heads upping me to this one.

Very powerful. In the end we are judged on love and to stand in the way of sincere love seems to me to be wrong. As he said -- what is it to me, anyway? I lose nothing and love is increased. I like that calculus.
ReplyDeleteWe're on the same wavelength today. I posted this on my blog this morning as well.
ReplyDeleteIt was really beautiful to see the usually angry Olberman be almost moved to tears. He was so gentle.
Well said, Barbara.
ReplyDeleteVal, yes, Olbermann's emotion seemed quite genuine. And I was touched....
Wow, that is indeed powerful. And right. I'm not familiar with Keith Olbermann - will have to look out for more of what he says.
ReplyDeleteYes I too watched it on Countdown as was very moved. I think he articulated what I always felt about this subject intuitively but somehow was never able to articulate it ....
ReplyDeleteTess,
ReplyDeleteWhile I find that I most often agree with Olbermann's commentaries in substance, his tone is often strident. He can be a ranter. But this time he got it right, not only in content, but in spirit.
Troutbirder,
Welcome. Thanks for the visit and the comment. I felt exactly the same way.
I see from your blog that you are a fellow Minnesotan. YEAH!
I hope you'll come back often
Peace
Troutbirder,
ReplyDeletePS Do you mind my asking how you came upon my blog? Just curious. :)
