Have you ever felt like my friend Rachel? I know I have at times:
"I give advice, and can't keep it. I talk about revolution, and then ask for the remote control and to pass the chocolate bon bons. I find myself using the buzzword 'change', but find that the only change I really know is the .48 cents in my pocket.
I think this is just the sort of thing--in part--that I was thinking the day before yesterday.
Yes, I think sometimes it's like this.
ReplyDeleteBut I also think that by processing out loud, we can hear possibilities for ourselves we might not otherwise imagine. We speak it and it somehow becomes more real. Most sudden change takes tons of prior (if subconscious) thought. I definitely think there are times when there is far, far too much talk. But I know for myself... it wasn't until I articulated my deepest heart-desires that they became real in any way at all.
Fwiw :)
Wilsonian,
ReplyDeleteFwiw? Iw a lot coming from you. ;)
I hear what you are telling me here. Still, either way the task for me would still remain. Making my life and my words be in harmony rather than too often discordant.
Thanks.
