Template Change

I've changed the blog template this morning, because I could not get the video in the Waterwalker post just below to format correctly otherwise. It kept cutting off the right side of the film. With You Tube videos this has never been a problem, but the embedding dimensions in this video are a different size and ratio. On NorthWoodsGuy's posting of the film, I noticed that this was not a problem and I figured out that the issue here was that my sidebar was too wide and my posts column too thin with my template. So at least until the Waterwalker post gets buried a little deeper in the archives I'll be using this new template. If I start to like it, perhaps I'll decide to make it permanent, we'll see.

  1. I like the old template far better. Of course, I also hate change. ;-)

  2. I think I agree with you, RT. Well, most likely it's only temporary.

  3. The new look works for me. So did the old look.

In my experience, the "new" remains new for about, oh, two days. Then it's old. And familiar.

And carries forward the old, familiar, and treasured voice of forest wisdom.

  4. Thanks Barry, just the sort of wise counsel I would expect from you. :)

  5. Hey, I'm with the Rambling Taoist on this one. I liked the softer, more "thoughtful" look of the other page…but then I'm incorrigible, Irish, and I still fish with a cane flyrod.

(FYI I've been dinking around with the idea of changing the look of my blog, too…though I wouldn't admit that to just anyone.)

  6. Grizzled,
Well, I'm glad I'm not "just anyone." ;)
    Thanks

  7. Form is secondary to substance. I'm sure your content will *transform* the new template.

  8. Nice one amylynn, Thanks. :)

    I'm glad you're reading.

(I see I can't do the same at your blog. Well, I know there are good reasons...there have been times when I wished that my words here were not so public....)
